Natural Stone Guidance
To help you get the most from your natural stone, please read the information below before installation.
Understanding Natural Stone
- Each piece of natural stone is individual, featuring variations in shading, fossilisation, porosity, fissures, irregular edges and natural markings. These are not defects—they’re part of what makes natural stone so special.
- Due to this natural variation our showroom displays and website images are intended as general guides only.
- Natural stone is not sold calibrated, so slight differences in length and thickness can occur.
Before Installation
- We strongly recommend that you or your tiler dry-lay the stone before fixing to see the natural variation across the stone.
- If your order spans more than one crate, it's important to mix stone from each crate during dry-laying. This helps ensure an optimum visual and shading effect.
Installation and Care
- Natural stone should be installed by an experienced tiler who understands and respects the unique characteristics of the material.
- Sealing is essential for protecting your stone. For sealing instructions and care guides, please contact us at info@tilestyle.ie. These documents should be reviewed and understood before installation begins.
If you or your tiler have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
